Therapy is an inviting place where every single part of you is welcome, even the parts that are uncomfortable to share. It is also a place of growth. Whether you are new to therapy or returning, you are taking an important step for your own wellbeing and for those closest to you. Welcome.
Centerlight Family Therapy is part of the Mindfire Therapy Collective.
As a specially-trained play therapist, I work with kids 5-10 using the natural language of play to treat a variety of behavior concerns. Childhood is a critical time, and every child deserves the skills to express their worries, sadness, anger, or hurt in a safe and productive way.
The pre-teen and teenage years can be a difficult time for kids and parents. I work with kids and teens from 10-19 to help with the unique challenges of these ages. Whether they're struggling with depression/anxiety, social or identity challenges, family conflict, or just trying to fit in, I customize the therapeutic approach to each person's unique needs.
Parenting can be really stressful sometimes, and it doesn't always bring out our best. As a parent and child psychotherapist, I partner with parents of all types to bring out their best. I provide coaching, tools, and resources to help parents manage conflict, connect with their child, support development, and learn to adapt as their child changes over time.
My approach to family therapy is compassionate, balanced, and effective. Each member of the family is valued and supported in a safe space where they share without judgement. Family therapy is a helpful way to open communication, build understanding, and overcome conflict.
As a Gottman-trained relationship therapist, I can help you reduce conflict, open communication, and increase intimacy, respect, and affection. I approach therapy in a balanced and directive way, helping partners to tune into one another more effectively. I'll help you reconnect.
Whether you're facing recent difficulties or looking to explore the past, this is the place to be you. This is your space to talk freely, safely, and without judgement. It's therapy on your terms.
Short on time? Balancing too many activities? Just don't have any *you* time? Lace up your walking shoes for this unique combination of mental health and physical wellbeing. It's a session on the go.
As a trained play therapist, I specialize in proven child-centered therapy techniques to help children through challenges, behaviors, and setbacks. Whether your child is melting down or blowing up, I can help your child explore and express their feelings in a safe, productive way to make homelife a little better.
The struggle is real, parents. I get it. Whether you're a parent-to-be, new parent, co-parent, or further down the path, I can help you adjust, find balance, and handle the many stresses you're under. For parents of young children, I also provide filial therapy to teach parents the tools to help you and your child better connect.
I'll help you work through the hard stuff in a safe, collaborative way through communication, addressing conflict, and finding ways to better understand each other. The goal is to stay together but if splitting up is inevitable, I can help you navigate it collaboratively and with mutual respect. All relationship types welcome.
Whether you're worked up or feeling down, I'll work with you get to the root of what's going on and help you make changes in your outlook so you can get back to being you. Seattle can be a tough place to live between the fast pace and the dreary seasons. Psychotherapy for anxiety and depression can make a BIG difference.
We might not choose all our family members, but we can choose how to manage family relationships. I work with traditional, blended, single-parent, poly, intergenerational, and multiracial families to increase understanding, communication, and positive interaction. Looking to improve family dynamics? I can help.
Sometimes we're not ourselves. If you or someone you care about is having difficulty adjusting to changes, handling anger, regulating emotions, or otherwise doesn't seem to be doing okay, let's talk. Sometimes outward reaction are a sign of trouble that's much deeper. We'll get to the root and treat the cause not the symptoms.
