Parent coaching can work either in conjunction with child play therapy or separately. The goal is to partner with parents to improve communication, navigate conflict and meltdowns, explore reactions and feelings, and increase positive connection with your child. I provide tools, guidance, resources, and therapy to enhance your parenting or co-parenting experience.
I center our work on child-parent relationship therapy in which we will talk through challenges, set new strategies, and explore your parenting styles. I can also work with your child to further develop their ability to communicate needs and regulate emotions. I also work with pre-teens and teens to address challenging specific to these ages. When preferred, I offer 360-degree family therapy to work through difficult issues that can impact family functioning.

We may look at parenting styles, communication styles, role imbalances, internalized messages, and your own family experience growing up. Through this process, you can learn to better understand yourself as a parent, your relationship with your child, and your partner to more effectively navigate future obstacles.
